      At First Pass, we connect you with the best driving instructors

      1 hour = 3 logbook hours

      Every eligible 1-hour structured lesson with a licensed NSW driving instructor can count as 3 hours in your learner logbook.
      A maximum of 10 instructor hours can receive this bonus, giving you up to 30 recorded logbook hours.

      For lessons completed at night, only the actual lesson time counts toward your required night-driving hours. The 2 bonus hours are recorded as daytime hours.

      Learn in your own car

      You may be able to complete lessons in your own car if it is registered, roadworthy, appropriately insured and approved by the instructor.

      Your vehicle must be safe and suitable for the lesson. Availability depends on the instructor.

      We recommend completing at least one lesson in the instructor's car first.

      Overseas licence conversion

      Preparing to transfer your overseas driver licence to a NSW licence? Book a driving lesson or driving test package to prepare for any practical driving test you may be required to complete.

      Testing requirements depend on where your licence was issued and your individual circumstances. Please confirm your requirements with Service NSW.
